LAVENDAR WAY - 1991

A kinetic silk installation was installed at Cherry Lane in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Three cherry trees were skirted with interlocking silk sections and supported by bamboo poles. The artwork was 19’x68’ and elevated 4’ off of the ground. A two-day installation offered a silk sheet on which the falling pink petals could float and rest.
